Honoring the 100th Anniversary of the U.S. Army “Big Red One” 1st Infantry Division

First organized at Fort Jay on Governors Island in New York, the unit, originally called the First Expeditionary Division, was formally organized on June 8, 1917, but was designated as the First Infantry Division on July 6. 1917. Considered the mainstay of the Army, the Division’s motto is “No mission too difficult, no sacrifice too great – duty first.” The division is now based at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Personalized Career Service Ring

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Army’s 1st Infantry Division, Veterans Commemoratives has created a “Big Red One” 1st Infantry Division Commemorative Ring, as part of its series of Military Honor Rings.

Handcrafted in America, Veteran’s Commemorative’s Military Career Honor Ring features a solid 10 Karat Gold service emblem on a polished capstone. The body of the ring combines Sterling Silver with 24 Karat gold plating. The service branch name is sculpted in bold lettering surrounding the Service emblem. The Big Red One 1st Infantry Division insignia is featured on one side of the ring (other divisions are also available), while the Service emblem is on the other side. Each ring is personalized with the Veteran’s initials and years of service.
