Commemorating the Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion

With 156,000 American, Canadian and British troops landing on five beaches along the coast, this was one of the largest seaborne invasions in history. The battle lasted until August 1944, and contributed to the Allied victory over Nazi Germany. German casualties were estimated as 4,000 – 9,000 on D-Day, while the Allied casualties were 10,000, with 4,114 confirmed dead. The Normandy landings were considered the beginning of the end of the war in Europe.

Each year D-Day, June 6, is observed in the U.S. as well as other countries in Europe in memory of the Normandy landings in France.

Personalized Items to Honor Those Who Served During World War II

Since 1987, Veterans Commemoratives has been proud to offer personalized rings, watches and jackets to those who have served during World War II. Below is just a small sample of some of those items.

The water-resistant case of the U.S. Military War Veterans Birthstone Watch frames a World War II medal minted in high relief, the War Ribbon in official colors, and a diamond at 12 o’clock. The service emblem is above the dial, while a personal monogram and five birthstones are below the dial. The adjustable two-tone bracelet is decorated with 23 karat gold.

Custom crafted in the U.S., the Military War Veteran Service Ring features a 10 karat gold military service emblem mounted on a brilliant capstone. The sides of the ring are sculptures of the World War II War Service Medal and Ribbons and the War Memorial. The body of the ring is solid sterling silver and is detailed in genuine 24 karat antiqued gold.

The MA-1 “Bravo” Jacket is inspired by the historic MA-1 Fighter Pilot Jacket. Created by the company selected by NASA to make its jackets to their exacting specifications, the jacket may be personalized with various available patches (Service Branch, War Service and American Flag). Conceal carry right and left inner pockets are also an available option.
